There is a carnival in our street!
This street is CALLE SUECA in Valencia, one of the most livable cities in Spain Known for its stunning architecture in the iconic barrio Russafa. Vibrant culture and delicious food not to forget all simple cafe bar corners on the street. Calle Sueca is one of the most lively streets in the city, always buzzing with energy. The people here have a unique way of living: they know how to live with friends slowly and harshly too. How to celebrate life, turning everyday moments into festivals. Whether it’s a small gathering or a large-scale event, they find any excuse to come together and enjoy the moment.
I can handle it 🙂
I LOVE IT!
I first noticed the excitement and the music from our terrace. The sound of drums and laughter filled the air, and when I looked down, I saw a huge procession marching down the street. I hadn’t seen the poster earlier, even though it had been advertised, but it was impossible to miss the energy that had taken over the entire neighborhood. It was a spontaneous and joyful celebration of life.
For five hours, 50 different groups from the neighborhood and beyond will take part in this grand parade. The participants include batucadas (Brazilian-style drum ensembles), local associations, social movements, and representatives from various countries in Latin America, Africa, and Asia. Each group brings their own unique flavor, blending traditional music, vibrant costumes, and incredible dance routines.
The streets are filled with colorful clothes, flamboyant costumes, and a fantastic mix of rhythms. From samba beats to Caribbean rhythms, the music sets the tone for an unforgettable celebration. The crowd’s wide smiles and divine movements create an atmosphere of pure joy and unity.
What more could you ask for?
Viva la vida, Valencia!
