shining maternity photosession

Petra and Ati wanted a natural photo series, as they’re not fans of posed photos. A studio was therefore out of the question. So for the naturally sunlighted series we went for a place that was perfect for a shining pregnancy photography session. 

We went for a walk in one of my favorite locations, the small pine forest, because here we’re always surrounded by beautiful light, and the natural surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for capturing the beauty of pregnancy. The forest, the sunlight, the fresh air, and the lovely scents all contribute to that magical atmosphere which is so special to me.

As a woman, a mother, and a photographer, I’m in love with the peace and serenity that this place offers. I even run here, so I know every corner of the area very well.

Petra and Ati wanted exactly this kind of intimate, nature-filled location to capture the first moments of their pregnancy. This period is not only special but also incredibly important, as they are expecting their first child. At this stage, couples don’t yet fully know what they’re getting into, but they’re at the very beginning of a beautiful new journey. As a photographer, I wanted to capture the excitement, joy, and love they were feeling, filled with anticipation. It’s a time of connection, self-discovery, and the thrilling adventure of getting to know one another in new ways.

One of the most beautiful aspects of maternity photography is that these moments become timeless memories. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience, because the next time Petra is pregnant, her little one will be jumping around beside her, the sibling who is still growing in her belly.
